The short answer is that just like buying a house or car, the acceptable price range is wide and varies greatly depending on the features you need. Our cost model considers between several dozen and over a hundred factors, depending on the scope of the project.
The most important of these factors is what we call the "drive style" of the video. Narrator-driven pieces are usually the least costly; projects driven by an off-screen narrator cost less than those driven by an on-screen host. Interview-driven projects are more expensive because we have to structure the story in outline form, choose the proper interviewees, interview them, transcribe their interview, write the story, and then assemble other images. The most costly are creative concept-driven projects, but they are often the most effective, especially for projects targeted at young people.
