The first step to understanding feature film financing is to know that investing in these sorts of projects is extremely risky and, despite what you may have heard, most films lose money. Because the US Securities and Exchange Commission and state regulatory authorities strictly regulate how companies can raise money, you cannot use the internet to find these opportunities. If you have not discussed your interest with an entertainment attorney, we recommend that you do so as the best first step.
